Project overview

MCM will be refurbishing the palisade fence via offsite renewal and restoration. As part of the restoration works, a modern coatings system to the steel elements will be applied, ensuring longevity of this heritage asset. Any defective or damaged concrete observed throughout the process will additionally be repaired to uphold the heritage values while also improving its structural integrity.

These works will be completed in two stages. The initial stage will consist of the first 100 metres of concrete kerb and fence line from the northern end, with the remainder of renewal works to be completed from July 2023.

MCM will work to minimise community impacts during this time, however there will be minor machinery noise during the works.

The safety of everyone is our priority. Thank you for your patience while we complete these important works.
