Project overview

MCM will be undertaking refurbishment of the heritage palisade fence through offsite renewal and restoration. As part of these works, a protective coating system will be applied to the steel elements to ensure the long-term preservation of this heritage asset. In addition, all joints within the sandstone block wall will be repointed, and any defective capping stones identified will be replaced to maintain both the heritage character and structural integrity of the wall.

Most of the parking lane will remain available to the public, however, five parking bays (27–33 Lower Fort Street, Dawes Point) will be occupied for our site compound. The footpath along Parbury Lane will be closed for the duration of works to accommodate scaffold requirements.

We will work to minimise community impacts during this time, however there will be minor machinery noise during the works.

The safety of everyone is our priority. Thank you for your patience while we complete these important works.
